A successful for-profit company had grown steadily, but informal planning was no longer enough. The CEO wanted the senior leadership team to step back from day-to-day pressures and develop a complete strategic plan for the company’s next stage of growth.
The challenge was not coming up with good ideas. Sales, operations, finance, HR, and technology leaders all saw different opportunities, risks, and constraints. The team needed a process that would help them test these perspectives, work through the trade-offs, and turn them into a shared direction for the business.
We designed and facilitated a complete planning process that included preparation, targeted input gathering, analysis, leadership working sessions, and documentation. The team examined market forces, internal strengths and constraints, strategic issues, and future possibilities to agree on priorities and what it would take to make these priorities possible.
The result was a practical strategic plan with clear priorities, stronger leadership agreement, defined initiatives, and a roadmap for implementation. The CEO described the value as helping the team move from “a collection of good ideas to a clear set of choices that each team member understood and could get behind.”
